Soccer News- match preview- Argentina Vs Spain or Messi Vs Xavi

Argentina are all set to take on Spain in an international friendly match in Buenos Aires. Spain, who won the FIFA 2010 World Cup, will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to their reign as World Champions after the La Furia Roja defeated Netherlands at the Soccer City Stadium back in July in South Africa.

Lionel Messi, who plays his club football for Barcelona along with the Argentinean team captain Javier Mascherano, will take on his club mates Xavi Hernandez, David Villa and Andres Iniesta in a match that is sure to bring out the club and country divide for both the sides. Argentina will be dependent on their superstar Messi, who is widely regarded as the best football player at this moment in time. Messi kicked off his first game of the La Liga season for Barcelona with an amazing right-footed goal from inside the penalty area.

The defense is likely to Argentina's classic during the last years: Martin Demichellis, Gabriel Heinze, Walter Samuel and -back after two years- Javier Zanetti. Gabriel Milito might also have a shot within the starting eleven, back to professional football after a long time injury.

On the midfield, Argentina's captain Javier Mascherano presence is the back bone of Argentina's scheme. The manager wants four midfielders ahead of the Jefecito: Messi, Cambiasso, Ever Banega and Angel Di Maria might be the chosen ones, though this might leave Carlos Tevez on the bench. Another possible substitute is Andres D'Alessandro, who has gained major attention once again by lifting this year's Copa Libertadores with FC Internacional. Gonzalo Higuain and Diego Milito might be the offensive choice to start this game.
